When I was planning my wedding – and everything that would transpire during the ceremony – I became a little nervous at the thought of my sister giving a bridesmaid wedding speech. I love my sister with all of my heart; however, she sometimes has a knack for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. While I was a little worried, I really wanted her to say a few words at the reception. My sister has always been there for me, through thick and thin, and I did not want to leave her out on my special day. The day of the wedding, I became nervous about everything – including my sister’s speech. Surprisingly, the speech that she gave was more than lovely. She had some very wonderful things to say about my husband, our journey and me. I am so glad that I let her make a speech, because she did a beautiful job.
