When I first heard about these portable solar power systems I was really excited because there have been times on a camping trip when I could have used a little bit of electricity. We are usually pretty good about “roughing it” when we go camping but now everybody has at least one or two portable electronic devices that they carry with them. I ordered one of these solar power kits for our family to ensure that we always had access to a cell phone signal in case we needed it. Even when you don’t use the phone the battery will still drain over time so every other night we would plug the phones in to charge them. Since these solar panels are so small we can carry them with us on a long hike. I really enjoy having access to the power whenever we might need it for some recharging.
